Chant Des Cigales

This large jacquard design in silk is all about fine materials and it is tempting to imagine that the song of the cicadas is gradually being depicted on its satiny lengths. This undulating design is woven with golden threads in the weft. On certain colors, such as Frost or Umber, the undulating design is repeated using a second, visible stroke, adding to the impression of depth.
