Tours Weave

Inspired by a woven silk damask from the mid-19th century, a stylised artichoke flower is at the centre of this ornate 100% linen weave of scrolling acanthus leaves, flowers and quince. A twisted yarn gives a variety of colour to the ground and a slight iridescence across the warp elevates this relaxed looking Zoffany design.
